Viracopos, in Campinas, will stand for issuing passports

For anyone interested in obtaining a passport or revalidate yours, may do so from the 13th of November with more agility. The Federal Police of Campinas will transfer the main post of this service to the city’s airport, Viracopos. The old post was at Guanabara district, the seat of the organ.

The service will be from 10 AM to 7 PM, and passengers can count on the food court, health services and the Viracopos airport itself, besides the advantage of location, which is close to major highways into the city.

In Campinas, are issued 300 passports a day, for two stations serving the 63 cities of the region. By November, the agency plans to double this number inaugurating two stations: one in Jundiaí (which may issue 150 passports per day) and one in Indaiatuba (100 passports per day).

Thus, the waiting time will also be 40 days to 15 days. However, the goal is that this time will be only a week.
Installations of the Federal Police in Viracopos undergoes an expansion and will feature 18 policemen and 40 outsourced employees.
