Police evacuates the invaded area in Viracopos airport

In the early morning of Monday (25), the Military Police executed the evacuation of an area that belongs to Viracopos Airport in Campinas, which had been invaded.

The action was supported by the Federal Police, since the land is owned by the federal government and was dispossessed by 1980.

According to current information from the airport manager, the dealership Airports Brazil Viracopos, families looted the area and put plates sale on site.

Fences and walls were removed by the police, which sparked protests from local residents and families.

The area will be used to expand the airport, however the houses already built were not affected. The measure was used to prevent the growing of the number of houses irregular, further hindering the development works at the airport.
