34.1% of servers are dispensed in Campinas airport

On November 13, 273 servers will terminate activities in Viracopos airport in Campinas. The measure was taken by the concessionaire Airports Brazil, which shall administer the airport starting from February 2013.

After an audit done by a consulting firm hired by the utility to identify and listing alignment actions planned for the airport, 34.1% were dismissed and must be relocated to other airports, operated by Infraero in the country.

In total, 7,969 employees are accredited to work at the airport. Among them, 904 are gazetted of Infraero. About a hundred of them continue to work because they are part of other areas that are still controlled by the state, such as navigation and juridical.

The other 500 gazetted continue working at the airport until February 2013 deadline for completion of the transition plan and when it will be clear who will be included in the staff of the concessionaire, formalizing hiring, and who will be relocated to other locations by Infraero.

On Nov. 14, the Airports Brazil takes over operation of the terminal, but still assisted by Infraero. Just three months after the administration becomes totally concessionaire.
