Viracopos returns to work; ANAC investigates accident

With the accident last Saturday (13), which caused the closure for two days of single runway of the Viracopos Airport (Campinas), the airport finally works normally.
Until now, nine flights were canceled, but are normal adjustments by the compenies.

The National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) initiated an administrative proceeding to investigate the incident that left the airport closed for 45 hours. The referring seeks to know whether the emergency plan was implemented consistently by Centurion Cargo (company which owned the aircraft that caused the problem) and the Infraero.

The emergency plan is a document that sets out the responsibilities of agencies, organizations or professionals to be used in case of emergencies. This document should also contain a plan to remove inoperative planes and allow the services on the aircraft return quickly to work.
