Stolen cars are found in Viracopos airport parking

It was on Sunday night (28) that municipal guard of Indaiatuba managed to locate and recover five stolen cars that were in the parking lot of Viracopos International Airport in Campinas.

Following termination of theft of a Palio, the Intelligence and Operations Center (IOC) identified the same heading towards Campinas.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver, a young man of 24 years, confessed that he was taking the car to the airport parking lot, where others stolen vehicles were already.

Infraero said that the preservation of public order and policing are responsibility of the public security organ. According to the National Civil Aviation Security, measurements taken on site by public agencies are operational, but the control of entry and exit of vehicles should be done by an outsourced company responsible for parking.

The dealership that will take over the administration of Viracopos from December already said it will optimize airport security with an integrated action with the military police, guard outsourced and participation of the Federal Police, if necessary.
