On the evening of Thursday (11), a Dutchman of 59 years was arrested carrying nearly one hundred capsules of cocaine in his stomach. The seizure was made at Viracopos International Airport in Campinas. According to information from the Federal Police, the man was going to Amsterdam, making a connection in Lisbon.
The police suspected the man on board and decided to do an investigation.
The Dutchman, who was not named, was taken to a hospital where drugs could be withdrawn. He remains hospitalized, along with a police escort, and will be indicted for international drug trafficking. The name of the clinic where the man was taken by police was not informed.
