Dufry will operate free shops on Viracopos airport

On Friday (5), Dufry said it has signed an agreement to manage the duty free shops (shops where the prices have not imposed) in Viracopos International Airport in Campinas. The agreement provides that the company take care of the shops for ten years.

Dufry has a 23% of its revenue based on the sector. The firm contract says that the company will operate two shops of the airport, which together have 324 meters square, and one will be visited by tourists coming into the country, with 237 meters, and another for tourists who leave the country, with 87 meters.

In addition to these requirements, Dufry will expand its stores by 50% after the construction of the new terminal, which is scheduled for May 2014.

Many passengers choose to land at other airports due to lack of a duty free shop in Viracopos. With this measure, the dealership Viracopos seeks to attract those passengers increasing revenue from the airport.
